柜我們又常稱(chēng)其為母線電壓互感器柜或電壓互感器柜。里面一般設(shè)置有電壓互感器一套、熔斷器一、避雷器等主要電器原件。熔斷器的保險(xiǎn)絲為電壓互感器提供保護(hù)。電壓互感器是將高壓按一定的變比將高壓按比例轉(zhuǎn)換成低壓的裝置，使其適應(yīng)儀表的電壓要求。

柜的整體結(jié)構(gòu)采用可拆卸金屬鎧裝結(jié)構(gòu)，設(shè)備面板上通常設(shè)有大面積的觀察口。它可以隨時(shí)觀察PT柜的運(yùn)行情況。每臺(tái)PT設(shè)有一節(jié)車(chē)廂，其一、二次回路采用分接結(jié)構(gòu)，實(shí)現(xiàn)一、二次室分離。柜體整體美觀可靠，可實(shí)現(xiàn)現(xiàn)場(chǎng)抽取維護(hù)。

柜內(nèi)有測(cè)量PT和計(jì)量PT（原來(lái)要求是要分開(kāi)測(cè)量PT和計(jì)量PT，如沒(méi)有特殊要求也可以不分開(kāi)，可以共用）。頂部的小母線可用于向其他高壓柜提供電源。同時(shí)為其它設(shè)備提供電源，滿(mǎn)足測(cè)量、計(jì)量和保護(hù)電源的電壓要求。
